“I have not witnessed more energy at a country show than this humble man possesses, since I don’t know when, and every time I’ve seen him live he’s left every drop on the stage!” - YOUFOUNDMUSIC.COM (2024)

Michael B. Tipton is an American singer-songwriter whose career spans more than 26 years, shaped by his expansive life experiences (he has been a cowboy, preacher, a teacher, a massage therapist, a door-to-door salesman and Father of four, among other things), his relentless touring, sharp songwriting, and a deep respect for the lineage of American roots music. Known for his ability to move fluidly between country, Americana, folk, and rock, Tipton has built a reputation as an artist equally at home in intimate rooms and large-scale stages.

Over the course of his career, Tipton has performed with and led multiple bands and projects, each chapter expanding his musical range and live-performance muscle. In 2020, he returned fully to his songwriting roots, drawing inspiration from early influences such as Willie Nelson and Bob Wills while crafting a modern Americana sound grounded in story, melody, and grit.

His debut Americana album, Out Of The Woods (2023), earned national attention, including recognition from Saving Country Music as one of the Most Anticipated Country Albums of Fall 2023. Backed by his band, The Scoundrels, Tipton has shared stages with artists such as Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit, Michael Ray, and Nathaniel Rateliff.

In 2025 alone, Tipton played over 60 live shows, continuing to refine a performance style that blends emotional honesty with road-tested energy. His live sets connect generations of country and Americana fans, combining original material with deep respect for tradition.

In 2026, Tipton served as host for the sold-out Music Theatre Heritage Kansas City series, “On The Road Again: The Life of Willie, Waylon, and Johnny Cash,” further cementing his role as both a performer and storyteller within the American music canon.

Building on a multidisciplinary creative vision, Tipton also writes, shoots, edits, and promotes his own music videos on his YouTube channel @michaelbtiptonmusic, where fans engage with official releases and live performance visuals. With over 1,200 subscribers and a growing catalog of videos, the channel highlights standout tracks such as Walking The Wire and Back To The Farm, contributing to his expanding digital footprint and audience reach.

Beyond his solo work, Tipton is also the frontman for Found A Job, an acclaimed eight-piece Talking Heads tribute, and his songwriting has been featured across national television, including placements on Discovery Channel programming and Keeping Up With the Kardashians.

Michael B. Tipton continues to tour, write, and release music that honors tradition while moving confidently forward with authenticity, craftsmanship, and heart.
